Flavaz of the Jewel Fashion Show Fundraiser: A Spectacular Success in Support of Cancer Awareness and Treatment

Belize City, Belize – November 25, 2024

The Belize Cancer Society (BCS) is delighted to announce the incredible success of the 2nd Annual Flavaz of the Jewel Fashion Show Fundraiser, held this past weekend. An unforgettable night filled with style, passion and elegance that brought together fashion, food, music, and community spirit. This event helped in raising essential funds to advance cancer awareness, prevention, and treatment across our beloved nation.

A Night of Style and Inspiration

The evening began on a melodic note with a captivating performance by saxophonist Allen McKoy who set a warm and sophisticated ambiance. Guests were further dazzled when the Belize Dance Company opened the show with an empowering & elegant performance that celebrated resilience and strength, setting the tone for the inspiring event ahead.

The runway featured stunning collections by talented Belizean designers and artisans from across the country, with models showcasing pieces inspired by the rich cultural diversity of Belize. Miss Universe Belize 2024, Halima Hoy, graced us with her presence and added glamour and star power to the event, while local artist Yas Thalia delivered an electrifying performance with her amazing voice. The highlight of the night was when our MC Ms. Mariyam Qaiyyim, got the audience involved by challenging them to showcase their modeling talent. The night ended with a bang, as DJ Khris entertained the audience with delightful music at the after party.
